1. Scope of Submission

International Journal of Engineering Innovation and Systems (IJEIS) accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Original research articles
  • Review papers (state-of-the-art)
  • Case studies
  • Short technical communications

All submitted manuscripts must be relevant to the journal’s focus and scope, particularly in the fields of engineering systems, power and energy, control systems, intelligent engineering, and applied technologies.

2. Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear and academically appropriate English. Manuscripts in Indonesian may be accepted during the initial submission stage; however, accepted papers must be translated into English before publication.

3. General Formatting

Authors are required to prepare manuscripts according to the following format:

  • Manuscript length: 6–12 pages (recommended)
  • Paper size: A4
  • Margins:
    • Top & Left: 2.5 cm
    • Bottom & Right: 2 cm
  • Line spacing: Single (1.0)
  • Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt
  • Layout: Two-column journal format
  • File format: Microsoft Word (.docx)

4. Article Structure

Manuscripts should be arranged in the following order:

  • Title (concise and informative, maximum 12–15 words)
  • Author Name(s) and Affiliation(s)
  • Abstract (150–250 words in English)
  • Keywords (3–7 terms)
  • Introduction
  • Methodology
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgment (optional)
  • Funding Information (if applicable)
  • Conflict of Interest Statement
  • Data Availability Statement
  • References
  • Author Biographies (optional but recommended)

5. Citation and References Style

IJEIS uses the IEEE citation and referencing style.

  • References must be numbered sequentially using square brackets: [1], [2], [3], etc.
  • Authors are encouraged to cite recent and relevant international publications.

Example:

[1] N. Mohan, Power Electronics: Converters, Applications, and Design, Wiley, 2018.

Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as:

  • Mendeley
  • Zotero
  • EndNote

6. Originality and Publication Ethics

Submitted manuscripts must be original works that have not been published previously and are not under consideration by other journals.

  • All submissions will be checked using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin.
  • The journal follows publication ethics standards established by Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

7. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system (OJS).

  3. Complete metadata information
  4. Confirm submission

8. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process.

  • Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
  • The final publication decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewers’ recommendations.

9. Article Processing Charge (APC)

The journal applies the following publication policy:

  • No submission fee
  • Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied only after the manuscript is accepted for publication
  • Authors with financial limitations may request a waiver

The journal ensures that publication decisions are based solely on academic quality and are not influenced by authors’ financial conditions.

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
