Peer Review Process
Peer review is a fundamental process used to evaluate the quality, originality, and scientific contribution of manuscripts prior to publication. In this process, submitted manuscripts are assessed by independent experts in the relevant field to assist the editors in determining the suitability of the manuscript for publication.
International Journal of Engineering Innovation and Systems (IJEIS) implements a double-blind peer-review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process. This policy is intended to ensure fairness, objectivity, and academic integrity in manuscript evaluation. All review comments and reports provided to authors remain anonymous.
Publication decisions in IJEIS are primarily based on the scientific validity, methodological rigor, originality, and relevance of the submitted work. In addition, the journal also considers the clarity of presentation, organization of the manuscript, and its contribution to the advancement of engineering and technology.
Each submitted manuscript is typically reviewed by two to three reviewers with expertise in the corresponding field. Reviewers are requested to evaluate whether the manuscript:
- Demonstrates sound scientific methodology and coherent analysis
- Contains original work and does not involve plagiarism or duplicate publication
- Is clearly written and meets academic publication standards
- Provides novelty, relevance, and meaningful contribution to the field of study
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor will make one of the following decisions:
- Accept submission
- Accept with minor revisions
- Resubmit for major revisions
- Reject submission
The final publication decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief. In specific cases, the Editor may consult members of the Editorial Board to ensure the quality, transparency, and integrity of the editorial decision-making process.
