Screening for Plagiarism Policy
1. Statement on Plagiarism
International Journal of Engineering Innovation and Systems (IJEIS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. All submitted manuscripts must be original works and free from any form of plagiarism.
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
- Copying text, ideas, data, tables, or figures without proper citation
- Self-plagiarism or reuse of previously published work without appropriate acknowledgment
- Duplicate or redundant publication
- Improper paraphrasing without clear attribution to the original source
Any manuscript found to contain plagiarism or unethical publication practices may be rejected immediately or withdrawn from publication.
2. Similarity Check
All manuscripts submitted to IJEIS are screened using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate to verify the originality of the work.
A similarity index of 20% or below is generally considered acceptable, provided that:
- All cited sources are properly referenced
- The similarity does not indicate potential plagiarism or unethical content reuse
- Overlapping text is limited to standard terminology, methodology descriptions, or properly quoted material
The editorial team reserves the right to request revisions, clarification, or reject manuscripts if significant similarity or plagiarism concerns are identified during the review process.
